Haven't used one so I can't tell you but here are the instructions..they look almost the same just different names for the buttons..if that doesn't work you might need to ask a dealership for some help.

Press the P.Scan and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold until "1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000" to be the code.

Use Preset buttons 1 ... 4 to enter the four-digit code number from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit, Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of the button increments the number by 1.

Once the code shown on the display is correct, press the P.Scan and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold until the word "SAFE" appears in the display, then release the buttons.

The radio should unlock and be usable shortly afterwards.

If an incorrect code is entered, the word "SAFE" appears, first flashing and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the radio once more, the number of attempts will be shown in the display. If an incorrect code is entered again, you radio will be locked for about one hour. After one hour - the radio must stay on and the key must remain in the ignition lock - if the display goes out, the you can repeat the above procedure to unlock again. The cycle - two attempts, one hour lock-up - still applies.

As my first question, I'd like to asking about the sentence
the key must remain in the ignition lock
is it mean, should I turn my key on (dashboard light on) or just put my key in (on position lock) ..?

Thanks for explanation.

I have tried to keep the radio on and key on ignition lock for an hour.
After an hour, SAFE on radio is gone and radio goes OFF.

Then, I turn back the radio ON, SAFE is displayed again on the radio, but when I press Pscn+Rds, 1000 code won't show up..

anybody know how to able to re-enter the code again..???
thanks for helps

Hi, Thanks for posting the information, I had a used radio to install on my Audi TT 2003, the old one didn't work anymore, I purchased a used one from eBay, not knowing anything about car radios, I called a shop that install's radios, they turned me down saying that there is a code needed to install the radio, which I told them I didn't have and they told me that I would have to go to the dealer.

Once I read your posting, it got me thinking, what use is it to buy a radio without the code, therefore the person who sold me the radio must have identified the radio with a 4 digit code on it, so I took a look and sure enough there it was.

Then using your instructions, it worked out perfectly.

Thanks

I actually had this problem yesterday, and kept ignition on for an hour, battery went dead because of the daytime running lights will not shut off. So i kept a battery charger on it, waited an hour with ignition in acc position, radio on(safe). Went thru the rds/scan button procedure and it worked!!!
but yes, you have to leave ignition in acc position, not car running thought!!.

I will have to try this. My radio is locked. I did try this and the battery did die, but now I will try using the charger idea.
