Losing power
Hi guys,
I bought a 200 black tt 1.8t. Recently I've been like the car is losing power. It is just not going as fast as it used to do. Do you guys have any ideas of what it might be?
Thanks,
Paulo

Re: Losing power
Hi Paulo
To be honest, you haven't given much information to go on . If you could get a VAGCOM / VCDS scan done it could show faults codes and give us a better insight to the problem. When was the last service done ? is the next one over due ?

Re: Losing power
Hi Rob,
I haven't done anything yet, I just changed oil today, and I had a mechanical inspection before I bought and the guy said the car was fine. I just got the car last month, and this week I started to feel that the car is not responding as it used to do when a press the gas. So I'm new with this car, is there any specific information you want?

Re: Losing power
You really need to get the car VAGCOM/VCDS scanned it takes a lot of the guess work out of a problem diagnoses, The problem could be something simple as turbo boost hose thats split, a coil pack beginning to go, the spark plugs reaching the end of their life or even an air filter thats needs changed. See if there is someone who is on this forum who could scan it for free. Here's an example from my own TT's scan. Once you have the fault code then it can put you in the right ball park hope this helps you.....
