so i thought id ask for public opinion on this on

Im looking at purchasing a 2001 MarkI TT roadster. from what ive seen and read they are great cars.

recently a friend and myself came acrossed a wrecked one for sale on craiglist, we decided what the hell and checked it out. what we saw was that this tt had the whole front bumper assemble and fenders removed. place that is selling the car is a chop shop and they carved up the front of this one to finish work on an TT mark II??? dont know why. and also a crashed GTI mark 5.

anyway the car is for sale and we are deciding if its worth buying and building, the idea being we would make it into a show car/ street/ track car.

the first stage will be to get the car into running condition then the mods for performance will follow.

the guy is asking $4800 and in total we have bugeted 10K for the car, parts and labor

pictures will follow tonight as to what the car looks like right now.

so do you think its worth it?

Missing a bunch of car there if it has any kinda km on it I would shy away @4800 I think 5200 would get you back to a nice 10 k TT ultimately your call best of luck keep us posted..
