Default 3.2L TT wheel offset

I am considering replacing my OEM wheels with aftermarket wheels but, not sure if a 42mm offset will work as my originals are 32 offset? I suppose that a spacer would work but, is it a bad thing to consider using?
Advice appreciated.

Has anyone changed wheels on a TT to aftermarket ones? If so, what is the brand name and model and what offset works please.

VERY nice ride!
As to the beauty wheels, they have quite a lip showing which I like. You said they were standard OEM 32mm offset?

OK so, in your opinion, a small spacer is acceptable?

only a very small spacer....it made my rims look beefy on the car thats why i did it...think its like 5mm...i do get tire sound being bigger rubber it also makes the rid a lot harder...but it is a 10 inch tire..ppl love it...i love it!!!
