2002 Audi TT Coupe
Hey, I am new here, and have been searching the forums for a bit. Up until now, my car has been driving pretty good. This morning I get in to drive to work, and the dome lights stayed on. I thought this was wierd, so for the time being I just shut them off and continued to work.
About 1-2 minutes later, the car starts flashing its hazards automatically and locking/unlocking the doors. Wierd I though, I pulled over, checked what I could check and shut off/restarted the car. Continued on my way and it continued to do this every minute or two. The car was driving smoothly. Once in the entire mix, the Parking Brake Light on the dash came on and flashed about 5 times, then went away, and I never saw it come back on.
The Key FOB doesn't work for the car currently, and the internal door lock button doesn't work either.
Has anyone seen/heard of a fix for this? Am I just going crazy?
Thanks for any help.
Chris.

Re: 2002 Audi TT Coupe
You need to scan the installed controllers on the TT.
Your issue could be one of four.
1. Central locking address 35 (defective unit or swimming in water) <<pick of the day
2. Defective door latch electronics
3. Wiring harness short or open circuit
4. Network communications error
If you don't have a scan tool or understand the system, visit this shop.

Re: 2002 Audi TT Coupe
Ecmbuster: Thanks for the information. I am going to see if I can check out some things on the car.
I took the care out at lunch to see if it was still giving the same issue, but everything seemed to be back to normal. Only thing that did happen shortly after starting to drive, was the the Parking brake light flashed for about 5-6 times, then completely stopped and everything seemed fine.
I tried looking in the manual about a flashing parking brake light, but nothing came up. Is that something odd again?
