Ok I think I can do this with spacers from the standard 5x100 to the new 5x112.

Has anyone done this?

What spacers do I need?

New studs as well?

What do this things cost?

Any help would be appreciated

H&R Trak+ Wheel Adapters. They made a set that adapts the 5x100 to 5x112 that are also a 20mm spacer. Based on the wheels specs of the MkI vs. the MkII and taking into account the 20mm spacer, the adapters should make the 2009 wheels fit on the 2001 TT.

Depending on which size wheels you have on the 2001 TT, the 2009 wheels should extend 14-24mm more than the stock wheels, but limit the inner clearance 12-26mm more. The last time I looked into it, the adapters were at least USD $200 per set.

Don't do it! Get the proper wheels with the proper bolt patterns and offset. And for a 2001 TT it's 5x100 with 35 to 40 mm offset.

I do have a question though are you speaking from the voice of experience & if so what happened when you tried it?
