Need help for my first Audi TT
 

Hi

recently im looking for an audi tt during 2001-2002, they are manual transimmision; and one is convertible but needs to change the timming belt; the other one is coupe but with high mileage(210,000km);both of them are 225HP Quattro

should i go for one of them?

I dislike convertibles so get the coupe.
If it needs a timing belt, lowball down $1000 from asking price (keeping in mind it'll probably cost you more to have a shop do this for you).
210,000ks means F--- all, what matters is if premium fuel has been used and if oil changes were done with synthetic.

I strongly advise you wait it out a bit for a few more to show up for sale and take a look at atleast 5 of the before choosing one. Take someone who knows their sh-- as well with you. If seller claims to have this work done and that work done, ask for reciepts/records.

Thank you so much, actually the coupe one is with 210,000 km and also blur external and blue interior, what price for it would be fair? (not changing timing belt one) thank you

And what if another one just done the new shock, cams, coil pak,control arms and link? And with 130,000 km

I don't know, in all honesty I buy cars on an emotional basis opposed to kms, what's been done, etc etc because I don't care. I do 90% of my own work anyways so I usually find out what it's like to drive a proper example of the car, then I go and buy one that needs attention and save myself some money that way.

If it feels right, buy it.

Learn how to fix sh-t here and there. If this is your first car, not a very smart choice.
