Attaching OSIR rear spoiler to TT spoiler...

I've searched the forums without any luck. Has anyone attached one of the OSIR
'3.2' style rear spoiler extensions to their stock rear spoilers? I'm wondering what adhesive you have used, and your experience with the process and how the adhesive has lasted?

Thanks.... :-)

Anyway, I purchased some of the OSIR 'pur' adhesive from TT Stuff. As soon as the weather warms up a bit, I will attach the 3.2 spoiler piece and report back to anyone interested. My plan is to tape off the area around and below the spoiler with painters tape and paper, clean the surfaces really well with 'TSP' and then denatured alcohol, apply a thin coating of the 'pur' to both suraces, attach them and then clamp the pieces together for a day or two... :-)

hmmm.... good question... at the time it seemed like the osir route was cheaper as i got a good price on it. i had also read somewhere that removing and attaching the spoiler (stock spoiler) wasn't a very fun/easy endeavour. it's probably a snap, right?

Jazz, I think you're right. I'm too chicken to glue this onto my stock spoiler. I think I'll look into the complete 3.2 spoiler and store my stock one.

In the meantime guess I'll see if I can sell the spoiler extension...

Have you actually swapped out or taken of a spoiler of an Audi TT before?
I think not or you wouldn't make those 4 bolt claims. That sucker is stuck on there bonded by a special compound and it requires a special tool to remove it.
Some people have used a thin steel wire and a lot of cussing to remove that thing.
Trust me it isn't as easy as you may think. That thing isn't coming off without a fight ;)

Do you still have your extension? I might be tempted if it isn't to expensive.
I rather use the Telson Spoiler than try and remove the original.

I sold it already... sorry. For what it's worth, the OSIR is a great piece, fits good. The Uberhaus piece is even nicer, comes with the glue etc...
