I have a DSG GTI 07 and a 6 speed TT 05. I agree the manual TT is great, however, if you have more than one driver in the house, the DSG is great. I don't have any concerns with the wife diving the DSG but I really don't like her driving the standard. I would rather have a manual but the DSG GTI with APR tuning is a blast to drive. I can't believe that I would ever consider buying an auto/manual, however, after driving manual and DSG back to back I was sold. That's my two cents for whatever it is worth.

Most 07 GTI's with DSG have launch control, mine doesn't, however, the dealer can do the flash. I haven't had it done as I have GIAC installed. Don't want them to f that up. Anyway, without launch my 225 TT with APR doesn't stand a chance. The 2.0L engine has virtually no turbo lag. Much better car. TT is better looking IMO.
