Hey looking for recommendations on wheels for my new 02 tt. Was looking at matte black 19's. Too big? Go with 18's instead? Any suggestions on size of wheels and all season rubber? Hmmm also any ideas on a good online retailer to buy relatively inexpensive wheel/tire packages? Thx!

 

Whatever you decide, I'd strongly recommend getting a lighter weight wheel. The difference in accelleration, ride and handling can be very noticeable. When I went from 18's to forged 19's on my S4 Avant, I saced 10 lbs per corner and the ride was actually better even with the lower profile tires.

On an Mk1 TT I'd probably stick to 18s, that's what I have on mine! I considered changing to 19s for this summer, but roads in montreal are pretty harsh...

We have great prices on wheels if you are interested, plus we're located in Canada so no brokerage/duties/import taxes etc!

In matte black we have a set of Miro 111 (nice concave design) 18x8.5 ET45 5x112




or we have lamborghini callisto replicas in 19" gloss black, 19x8 ET45 5x112



Just slap on a set of 20mm adapters with either of these sets and you're in business! both would look great on a TT, thought about putting them on mine!
