By the way not on the take.

I was planning on reading through the thread then sticking on my line of work as a reply but then I saw this. This pisses me off. I sympathize seinsmeld - you shouldn't have to worry about something like that. It's nobody's bleeping business how you came to drive the car you drive and it has NOTHING to do with their life, situation, or claim denial.

However, I get that people don't get that which is why you park around the corner. If you're up for it, why don't you try this -

You - "Sorry, your claim is denied. "

Douchebag - "I get this from you and you drive a bloody brand new Audi!!"

You - "Excuse me? I'll have you know that my father worked extremely hard as a doctor for 41 years up until the year of his death. I inherited money. More than enough to buy a decent car. Good for me. And you think all this has something to do with YOU?"

Douchebag - silence, muted apology, blushed face

Hey, it's not honest but it's as fair as you having to deal with flak from them.

Oh and I'm an Investment Advisor.

I had a call in Binbrook the other day. Parked my new Boxster S, well new to me it's an 09. I walked to my call. I parked half a block up the street so the guys doesn't see me getting out of a Porsche. First words out of his mouth " is that your 911?" I said no its the wife's Boxster. Next call I parked around the corner.
