Car is going under the Knife
OK waiting today for Electric fan kit to arrive. I couldn't get time off so will start on monday. I have to source a few parts. does anyone have a good place to find transmission support brakets from c5 a6 2.7t 01E i don't want to use the ones that came with swap, although they will work i just want a better set. I want to also get the JHM short shifter now just to make it smoother on shifts.
oh i forgot to mention my experience with audi4parts.com... Brian Little, who I have been in contact with mostly probably driving him nuts with 100 questions has been excellent. I was a little worried about ordering this stuff from the USA but he made it really easy. I also found a great broker that charged only about $50 for clearing the pallet. My total with duty and taxes and brokerage was $170

Update: JHM has my ECU hopefully they shipped it out today. Also ordered the JHM Trio Package-Shifter, Linkage & Bushing. So far I have tip tranny out, torque converter etc out and new flywheel, clutch and pressure plate installed. Also got rear end in and managed to get the auto shifter out. I should tranny in tomorrow along with front drive shafts. I manged to take a few pics but I wish I took more. I will try and get more tomorrow as I install the 01E

Update:
Good news: tranny is in and no issues with swap, all I have left is small stuff like wiring and electric fan
Bad news: JHM is having a little prob with ECU. They say my car is an Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (or ULEV). ECU contains totally different software architecture that has rarely been explored by any tuning companies. So now I have to wait till they figure it out.

Well some good news JHM shipped out my ECU so I should get it tomorrow, only they didn't get the tune done, they have cloned mine and will send out another ECU at there cost with the tune when they figure it out. My ECU will have some issues but my car will be drivable.
Got ther ECU today along with JHM short shift and linkage upgrades. I only had time to do the shifter I hope bumper will be back from paint and I can start the car tomorrow take a test drive
Update:
The good - swap is complete
The bad - I broke the clutch line when installing so now I have to wait till Monday grrrrrrr
here a few pics how she looks

OK haven't been online much but i'll update for anyone who cares
Last Friday was a bummer when I broke the clutch line, don't ask I did it. It was to late to call audi as this was a dealer part and every audi used parts guy I know never got back to me. I took off and went fishing. So I call Audi Monday and 1 day for part that sucked. Today clutch line in and took the car out for the first test drive. It feels sooooo much better I love it. I just have to break it in. I do have issue with idle and between shifts (ECU still looking for auto transmission) but that will be dealt with when JHM finishs mine tune. I'll try to get some video up.
Update: JHM has shipped out my ecu. I hope all goes well. I also got a GoPro Hero2 to do some video for you guys once the ECU comes and I do the recoding. So far on my stock ECU I have done 1000 kms with no issues other than ECU. stay tuned
