relay riddle
 

Hi,

The starter on my '01 A6 (2.7t TIP) won't engage/crank. Starting Interlock Relay #4 (53) in the 13 fold panel is OK.

In reading elsewhere I think (electric clutch??) relay #5 (267) may be faulty. (Does not click on key start position). If this relay were faulty could it cause the starter not to engage?

Battery is A+

Any other relays you can think to check before I go deeper?
