Every car is gonna develop rattles of some sort eventually. It's just wear and tear...happens to the best of the brands. Unless of course you're trailering your car everywhere.
My S4 is an '01 and although it does creak and rattle here and there, the roads are mostly to blame...Quebec is like a minefield. Even so...the car still feels very solid.

Are you talking about your 2003 A4? Did you expect your 8-9 year old car to be rattle free?
Ok maybe if he was driving a 20 grand car but a 50 grand car?? It's way to early for stuff like this to happen.
