NO LOL You just see what the Cable you need is! then you go on ebay and buy accordingly, eg, which Kline u need or CanBus etc.

I paied 20.00 shipped for mine on ebay. I could see if i have the seller if you really want but use the Vag-com site to identify the cable you'd need.

I did do a search and it looks like the only cables they are able to make are the older 409 versions Sorry, as far as their compatibility with the new systems i have no clue. :-s

 

i found the cable, KKL but it works with xp only, ughh, im gonna have to dual boot my vista laptop to xp lol. a well the cable was 10 bucks, hit or miss in my case, it does say its compatible with 409.1 and the 02 a4.

I will take a peek for a cable KKL on Ebay. It is still in the 409.1 compatibility which I am not sure will work with my 2008 TT 2.0T. Anything that I have seen is at least $100 and they only specify up to 2007.

It is really difficult to find a generic Vag-com cable for 2008+.

ye man, the older models are easy, its just the cables need to have a driver for them or they wont work with vag com, look around on ebay, usually in the description they specify the cars that it will work with and if it doesnt u can get ur money back cause they said it will and it doesnt

 

I have the 908 which is basically the 802 off their site and should work on yours. i have a 07 at but used it on mine, used it on 05 s4 upto 2010 s4 with no issues. it all works the same its just the B8 its done in different looking screen.

 

just run vmware, you can run the xp in vista, just allow the virtual xp install full access to which ever port it uses, like serial or usb.

 

Thanks, can you tell me you purchased the 908 cable, and the cost? Does it come with software, or which software are you using?

I've also come across the cable "HEX USB CAN VAG-COM for 812.4" on an export site from China, but I am looking for a retail source.
