I don't think it is a battery problem because I use the remote every day to open the garage door. I can open it from a mile away.

Then it's a rotating code opener. You'll have to push the "learn" button on the actual opener, the same way you would program a hand held remote. If you are in a condo, ask the super.

Usually condos dont use a rolling code. Even if it is the rolling code has nothing to do with the programing of the car and is not used until he programs the car! I am telling you change the remote's battery!

Well, I did change the battery, and unfortunately, it is still not working.

I tried programing with another remote (not from my condo) and the hazzard lights did blink. So at least I know the homelink on my car is working.

At this point, I can think of no longer explanation except that the remote for my condo is no compatible with homelink. Can anyone think of anything else?

Had the same problem and found out that the manual says the has to be off, but you know what, the car has to be running and viola, no problem with the Homelink.

I doubt the remote and Homelink are compatible. I tried programming the Homelink on my dad's infiniti with the remote opener at my condo and it did NOT work. There's a few other people that have tried and failed, so I assumed that the signals from the two are different frequencies. It could also be that it is a rolling code system where you actually have to put the opener in 'learn mode'.

Let me know if you figure it out.

As I stated previously most residential cond buildings do not use a rolling code! The reason being is because they control the amount of garage door openers and the security is a lot tighter. Meaning anyone can walk into the garage when the door is open program the remote with the learn button and leave, comeback in the middle of the night and steal whatever they want.

FYI... All Garage door openers work at a different frequency.
