I recently upgraded my iPhone to version 13.1. Since then whenever I start my car the following message appears on the NMI console.
I have never seen this message before the upgrade nor can I find any reference to a password requirement within the iPhone Settings folder.
Does anyone else have this same problem and how were they able to solve it?
The problem has been resolved. After searching on the Internet, it seems that a number of users have posted on European forums of having the same problem with iPhone iOS Version 13.0.
To solve the prompt for a password, one has to go into the Bluetooth settings on the iPhone and completely delete the existing pairing between the iPhone and the NMI. I found I also had to completely power down the iPhone and then power it back on. With the NMI open to the Bluetooth configuration, go back into the iPhone settings and proceed with pairing the iPhone with the NMI. Once this has been done, the prompt for the password no longer appears.
