Default Parts from US vs. Can…my finding need your input

2005 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T
MJM Autohaus.com

Front ATE Slotted rotors + Front Hawks HPS pads: US$ 199.95
Rear ATE solid rotors + Rear Wawks HPS pads: US$ 114.95
Shipping USPS (60lbs). US$ 126.00
Total US$ 534.00

I like USPS as there are no hidden extra charges/brokerage fees like FedEx & UPS
Local Montreal Audi dealer quoted me $1,300
I figured for 50% less money including labour; I would have better quality parts & performance!

Would you happen to know any other Canadian or US based dealer who sells ATE & Hawks HPS for less or simply go with this one

Thanks

Wow...not a single advice and or suggestion ?
I know Canadian tire sells ATE rotors for double that price. I am not sure if it is a real joke or sad that we simply accept paying more for everything and they will keep scalping us in O Canadaaaaaaaaaaaa

I think we are all in shock at the pricing. Great find and let us know how it turns out.

Want to sell me your car yet!!!

welcome to canada, raping u with overpriced crap, no one people here avoid driving, its not the cars that rape u, its the ridiculous insurance rates and cost of parts over here. IE, i had a yamaha r1, im 19 the insurance was 22k a year, my cousin in texas, 17 with a cbr 600rr pays 600 a year for insurance with 2 speeding tickets...

if i need anything for my audi il drive over the border or get it shipped. a lot cheaper than buying it here

Indeed
Unfortunately they would say the US has 10x our buying power/market...
Having said that it was clear especially when it comes to pricing of luxury car we do get raped paying sometimes 10k more!
Over pricing even happens on lower end mass produced vehicles like the Civic, Camry...etc
I did hear someone from one of those major car manufacturers finally admitting that:
''We WILL price any of our cars depending on what the market bares to pay'' which I find pretty self explanitory, wouldn't you agree

So we have to be smart and do what we can to save wherever we can

that true, a freind of mine owns a jewelry shop, he rides in a rolls royce phantom, when he went to buy it in canada, they asked 700k for it, he strolled over to the USA and paid only 400k, this is why i buy all my stuff over at the states, a 2 hour drive and my truck will save me hundreds, i wanted to grab 2 flowmaster super 44s for my audi, the local shop is asking 150 each, ebay sells em for 60 each and 40 shipping, if i drive down there i can get 2 for 100 bucks...

well, at least we have free health care
