looking to buy a A4 2002 OR NEWER....audi owners help!

So i am 23, got my first job...and i am in the market for cars. And one car I have my eyes on is the A4...2002 or newer. Possibly 2002 to 2004...around there. Just because of the price range.

So I have been doing lots of reading, but theres just so much info. So i thought i get on this forum. I have been reading there are a lot of problems with the A4. So i am wondering would you guys recommend this car? Is it a certain year that is faulty? Whats going on? lol. Please all the info would be great.

I live in toronto, and yes i will be using it for winter..Pretty much all year driving. I love audi and i love how the a4 looks, but main thing i want to know is its lifetime and its performance all year round. Thank you!

Others cars I have been looking at are BMW 325 i believe...2002 or 2003.....lexus IS250.......and jetta.

thanks again.

OH TO ADD TO THE ABOVE...

The only mods i ever plan on doing is rims and audio system. Nothing other than that. Maybe small minor things like better tint or something i dont know. But nothing related to engine.

And another thing lol....how is it on gas? and what gas does it take?

A4's are great cars but make sure you get a good Mech to look things over. Make sure it has a good service history.

Audi's gets a bad rap for reliablity, much worst then they deserve.

From my experience, here are things to watch out for.

- Front suspension is a common problem. Look for play in the control arms.
- If you are looking at the Turbo model, they are generally more maintinance and Turbo's do break, and big $$$ when they do. But they are fun to drive.

Lexus IS with AWD is a pretty sweet car as well. I would definatly take a serioius look.
