I have ebay vag-com cable, but full registered older 409 version, I think it can scan all codes, and recode modules but can't run data logging.

I would have, but my cable is snobby, and prefers to be used for S4s only. If it's plugged into a lowly A4, it will self-destruct.

 

LOL you got me there...my $hit box would probably melt the wires, put a curse on your VAG and possibly make your car slower next time you plugged it in. Phew its a good thing we sorted it out before you plugged it in, could have been messy.

p.s. I don't think you know this, but my 2007 S4 shares a garage with my A4 Avant. Cable works nicely on it too.
