Expected condition of Certified Pre-owned?

Hi everyone,

I am a new owner of a CPO Audi A5. It is a 2012 model. Unfortunately, I have faced very disappointing service from the Audi dealership I purchased from and the manager is now offering me $300 to their service department to 'repair' our relationship.

Basically the first issue I ran into was that I was not made aware that the A5 I purchased was involved in an accident until I signed the financing papers. The repair amount on the CarProof I received was at $11000. I paid over $30,000 for my vehicle so I was very upset. I brought it up to the manager's attention and he said that the owner traded the vehicle in and then got into an accident with it while waiting for her new car which was the CarProof on the advertisement I saw had no accidents on it. Regardless of how it went down, I feel like it doesn't excuse the fact that I unknowing bought a car that had been in an accident.

I only bought the car in August 2016 and already I have had to get my brakes serviced and get an alignment done. I told the manager this and he replied with the below:

To answer your question the vehicle should be in good working condition, we do a more intensive inspection that takes more time and holds the vehicle to a higher standard. As for the break service there could’ve been any number of reasons this would be required, again we didn’t note anything that was required.

The squeaking is a normal thing with high performance breaks however a simple lubrication is something that is done often as part of the servicing because so much road debris can get in there.

As for the alignment I have had guests leave after an appointment and everything is good they come back for their next service and the alignment is out. This can happen for any reason and often in some cases. As I have mentioned I am happy to have the credit put into the service department which can be used in parts or service.
Another issue, it took them over 3 months to get my remote start installed even though I paid for it when I bought my car.

That being said, obviously I just feel really disappointed with being a first-time Audi owner due to my experience with the dealership. I am wondering what your experience was and what I should be expecting out of a CPO vehicle? I thought with Audi, they would be service my car before I bought it but obviously that did not happen.

What should I do in this case? I feel like $300 of parts and service is not enough to make up with everything I experienced. Any advice?
