do NOT buy from ESC tuning.

do NOT buy anything from ESC tuning....

Don’t trust the ESC tuning. When I was ordering the parts (just shy of $1000 worth) they told me that when I pay for shipping there are no other charges like brokerage fees etc. I was surprised to see $175 COD charges when the shipment arrived.

When I called to complain about the COD charges I was told that the gentlemen that sold it to me does not work there anymore. What a coincidence?!? The one I talked to about the complaint (Chris) asked me to send him a “photo” of the COD bill and that he will talk to his manager and call back. Obviously he never did. I called a week later left a message but he never called back.

Check it out carefully before you order from these guys as they are very rude when you call about a complaint. They don’t stand behind their words.

I feel strongly they should pay for 100%.

Canadian sites may be cheaper at the end. I am not associated with any of these “tuning” sites just a very disappointed customer. Just do not give ESC any more business please.

Look elsewhere.

Never had any issues with ECS Tuning myslef. I've order from them on numerous occasions.

Have they charged you with brokerage and customs and other fees? IF so have they told you that at the time of purchase?

My point is that they told me one thing and than surprised me with $175 of COD charges. Kind of stuck when you receive the shipment and no options.

At least they should have been honest upfront.

I've used both prepaid duty and COD duty shipping methods from them. Someone likely just didn't use the porper shipping method when they shipped your order. Sucks. That said, you would have paid duty and GST whether you paid it up front or when it arrived.

What were the fee's for? If GST, you should expect to pay it regardless of the shipping method. If it was brokerage, then the guy you dealt with made a mistake. They are not "liars" and he probably made an honest mistake. Would you have canceled the order if you knew in advance about the fee?

I deleted the word "liars" as it does sound too strong and it could have been an honest mistake. The point here is that they should recognize their own mistake and deal with it rather than ignore my calls. Ignorance is worse then the money.

Yes I would look elsewhere if I knew about the charges. There are number of Canadian sites that come very close with price.

There is always customs charges and it is hard to get around them. Got a 2oz jar of paint from automotive touch up, price was $40 for the paint and some drop dabbers (very cool btw) and the gov't charged me! Plus with UPS they had their fee.

But I get you, the site says not customs fees, so you think that "Nice, I can spend a little bit more on parts, then shipping for my budget".

I like ECS's setup for parts, but 80% of the time, I grab the part numbers and see an acquaintance I know at a local part shop can get them, usually at the same or lower price.

The COD charges is not from ESC tuning, They are custom charges which courier company has paid, Which is not in control of any one,
