Try clearing the codes with a vag-com. Maybe a short in the bulb making it appear to be working but the Load in Watts turns to a lower or a higher wattage and gives the comp a wrong signal??? its a Puzzler

I guess I should have said that the bulbs are not working, the three lights are out, the filaments or whatever you call them look fine, there are no blown fuses, I cleared the error codes and they came right back, the closest dealer is 2 hours away and the local VW guy doesn't want to have anything to do with it.....any suggestions where to start????

I had a burnt out bulb signal happen not too long ago. I went to go check the bulb, bulb works and all fuses are still good. Shut the car off, start it again and no more warning.

I chalked it up to aliens but could just be a voltage spike or something.

Well I just got back from a place the dealer recommended in my town, it turned out the socket for the signal light drivers side was pooched, and the bulb for the signal, license plate light and the taillight all went same time. Replace and everything good now. $30.00 labor, $31.42 parts, signal socket was $22.14.

Hey everyone,

I think I'm dealing with the same issue, my question is where can i get hold of a new signal socket without going through the dealer?

is it dealer or nothing?

i've been all over the net and can't find one.

Maybe it's time for some devil eyes.
