Audi considering Euro Delivery - emails needed

I have been corresponding with Audi about their lack of a European Delivery program for Canadians. The lady I corresponded with did say that Audi is considering it. She will be forwarding my suggestions and concerns to those involved.

I would suggest that anybody who is at all interested in this program now or in the future to send an email here:

auditalk@audi.com

Let them know that it is important to you and it could be a factor in your decision. If they see a significant interest is there it may help our cause.

Thank you

Hi

Just wanting to bump this thread and remind everybody to send an email off to

auditalk@audi.com

They will listen to emails. I for one would really like to be able to pick up a new Audi in Germany. We need to convince Audi to oblige.

I thought you could buy and Audi and pick it up in Germany? I also believe that BMW does the same?

You have obviously checked and perhaps you can explain this so others would understand?

All 3 offer European Delivery for the USA. However only MB and BMW offer the program in Canada. Even those that do offer it in Canada don't offer the discounts that they offer in the US (ie BMW offers 6% discount and 2 for 1 air for US but nothing for Canadians)

I'm asking all Canadian present and future Audi owners to contact Audi and ask them to offer this program for Canadians

Good initiative. I really thought it was available in Canada.

I assumed it was available for Canadians as well until I read in a forum somewhere that it wasn't. Once I started researching I confirmed that it wasn't available. I was starting to make plans and had ideas running around in my head. It was quite dissapointing. Now I think if Audi doesn't step up to the plate, I'll likely go with a 335i xdrive instead. I really am excited about doing a European Delivery.

I had a quick look at the US programme and here are my observations ;
1. You order the car from a dealer and you have to pay in full prior to going to Europe to pick up the vehicle. Most models offer up to a 5% discount off the MSRP but the dealer still sets the final price.
2. There is no mention of 2 for 1 airfare or discounted air fare like other programmes offer.
3. You get picked up in a limo from the airport and get 1 free night in a hotel and a behind the scenes look at Audi. You take delivery of your vehicle and then have to drop it off at a designated drop off for shipping back to the dealer.

Im not knocking the programme but how many Canadians would want to take advantage of this?
Sure a trip to Europe and picking up your brand new car will appeal to some.
Sure let that Audi rip on the autobahn. Ive driven those autobahns and it can be both a thrilling and scary experience.
Is the object of this programme to save you money or just give you the Audi experience of ordering a car and going to the factory to pick it up?
How many Canadians would want to do this?
I wish you luck in your endeavours to get this programme available to Canadians.

I would do it for the experience. I really don't think it would be a money saving endeavor, even if it was offered at 5%. On the Audi World forum they have a sub forum dedicated to European Delivery and almost everybody who has tried it raves about the experience. I don't think it would cost Audi anything to offer it and for a few customers it could build brand loyalty.

I have no idea what this European Delivery is...if I don't know then I suspect at least some others here don't either. If you're trying to generate support, perhaps you can explain it?

Go to the Audi USA website. There is a search feature just to the right of the overview box in the top right corner. Type in european delivery and send. Click on the european delivery link and it will explain. Id post the URL but I havent posted 5 replies so it wont allow me lol.
