Audi Canada “no customer service” is what it should be called
Have recently discovered that the sunglasses holder in my A7 somehow melts/warps my acetate frames... it has destroyed two pairs now. I contacted my service dealership as well as Audi Canada. Their pathetic response, from both the dealership service manager and supposedly the Audi Canada customer Service General manager? In a nutshell: “We’ve never heard of this before, so we aren’t going to do anything about it.” No assessment, no service call, no reimbursement for over $800 in sunglasses. A lame offer of $150 service credit with a totally fake veil of concern. So beware to all those who love their sunglasses with acetate frames, your A7 and potentially other models will destroy your frames when stored in the sunglasses overhead holder. And Audi doesn’t give a crap.

They weren’t crammed in at all, both pairs were actually smaller than the holder size.... so your super sleuthing isn’t quite there bud. Do you really think if it was something as simple and idiotic as that I would have gone to the lengths I have to contact Audi? Moronic response, maybe you do work for Audi.

So how did “I” ruin them by placing them in my Audi designed sunglasses holder? It seems to be just fine when I put any of my other glasses in it, only the acetate ones are damaged. The first time it happened I assumed it was a manufacturer defect with that pair and the sunglass company, props to Krewe, replaced them with great customer service. So then when it happened a year later with another pair of acetate frames, I realized it had to be something to do with my holder overheating. So why don’t you stop, you’re just making noise.

You dodged the fact that you ruined a SECOND pair after you ruined the first pair of sunglasses.....
that’s right.... blame others for your stupidity.
Audi told you to go **** yourself, so I don’t have to.

Gentlemen, play nice.
Newbie here. I have been on a few forums and there is always this keyboard battle between a few. It wouldn't quite be the same in person now would it?
As for the sunglasses melting/warping - I don't think that Audi would consider peoples individual choice of sunglasses, considering the amount of variable in play. Some materials in certain conditions will react differently. In this case, this material in a confined space, effectively sealed up in a humid/hot environment (top of windscreen by the roof) has been affected. It is not a 'fault' by the manufacturer of the car. My sunglasses don't fit in my sunglass holder in my S4, is that Audis fault? No, it is my own individual issue. Had the holder malfunctioned, or damaged my glasses somehow, then maybe that would be something Audi would have interest in addressing.
