Momentary Switch/LED Strip?

I will apologize in advance, perhaps wrong forum, but did not find a place for this question anywhere else.

As many of you are aware, DRL's are required by law in Canada. But I cant stand how my allroad uses the parking lights + fog lights as the DRL. I want to change this by disabling this function with VAG-Com (as far as I know this is doable by setting the country code to the US spec) and introducing another light source for the DRL function - maybe an LED strip. BUT, and here is where the question comes in......do you know of a momentary switch that can be used for this?

What I was envisioning, is to have the LED strip come on automatically as the DRLs whenever I start the vehicle, but have the ability to disable/turn off the strip when not needed/wanted.....so the circuit should be 12V hot at all times with a switch that powers it off until next power cycle.

Is there such a beast? Is there a wiring schematic for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Re: Momentary Switch/LED Strip?

Ok, I did some brainstorming........it is possible to use a 12V relay + switch to break the circuit. But I would need a switched 12V source (something that is only live when the ignition is on) - what switched 12V source is there I can use?

Also, anyone know what prongs on the 12V relay I would need to use?
I am guessing the the standard, 85=ground, 87=load, 86=switch and 30=power?
