Clear Coat Protection

Hello-

I recently purchased a new A4 and wanted to know my options for getting the exterior clear coat protected beside taking it back to the dealer.

Can anyone share any past / present experiences on this topic ( good/bad )?
Can anyone recommend a shop that I call go to to have this done? I live in Ottawa.

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Clear Coat Protection

A clear coat protection is basically a second coat of transparent paint. It is not recommended that you do this yourselves as the material may be a bit hard to manage. Just my thougth.

My thoughts are that you really don't need to do this on a new A4.
They have the galvinized body panels to prevent rusting, and they do also have high quality paint.

Basically I think you're better off regularly washing and waxing from time to time to keep the paint shiny and new.
