Need someone with a vag-com cable to help me out and add a few simple mods. Will compensate you for your time.

Re: Vag-Com In Kitchener/Waterloo
I'm looking at buying one but not until the middle of June. If you're not in rush I'd be happy to help. I have a 2001 TT and I'm not sure if the cables are compatible?

Re: Vag-Com In Kitchener/Waterloo
Paul,
I have an old chineese one I bought a few years ago when I got my B6 S4 and an original Rosstech cable I just got this winter for my 2008 TT (MK2). So this is my experience with the VAG-COM cable on the MK1 TT: My brother has a 2004 TT like yours and there is very little modifications he can do on his car even with the original VAG-COM. He was quite disapointed this winter when I got the original cable as he though he could do a lot more to the car. He currently has my chineese cable as it can read the fault codes as well as the original... I would suggest you read on it before investing $350 on a cable that will give you very little access to the TT MK1 control modules and can read fault codes the same as a $25 cable. Just my 2cents... |
Re: Vag-Com In Kitchener/Waterloo
Thanks for the heads up on this. I was going to do some research and was putting off buying one until I had some more information.
I'll make sure I dig deeper into this. |
