Default Thought I would share: just got new tires installed in Buffalo

Thought I'd make a post for those who might want to know: I ordered tires from Tire Rack, have them shipped to the Goodyear Service Center at Tonawanda (okay, so it's not Buffalo proper :P), which is one of Tire Rack's recommended installers, and have them installed there. Friendly guys in that shop and they seem to be proper car guys.

Now, who can tell me what tires these are?

It's a perspective thing: they actually look wider than the Toyo T1R's I had before. They're 235 by the way.

Nice!

How much did you save vs. shipping to your door and installing locally? And what did you do with your old tires before coming back across the border?

According to Tire Rack, the total amount would come to $716.97 to have the tire shipped to my door (taxes, duty and brokerage included), as opposed to the $513.96 I paid. I presume the installation cost would be roughly similar locally or in the States.

Since the old tires were done, I just had the shop dispose of them for me.
