I just bought these tires:

VERSADO LX | Toyo Tires

These tires are AMAZING. I drive my A4 as a luxury touring car, not as a "racing" sedan. So when I found out that size 235 45 17 comprises of Michelin Pilot Exalto AS's that cost a fortune, and a bunch of these ultra high performance summer tires, I got really upset.

I could care less how a fast a car can go around a lap, but I do care about good handling, but quietness, comfort etc etc means more.

I found these Toyo Versado LX tires and they are aimed at exactly making a quiet tire. OK tire in Kitchener wanted $1200 installed and I had a good experience at Simply Tire today. Here is my review:

The tires are amazing. Having drive on a set of Michelin Primacy MXV4 on a S430, I can tell you the Toyos are even better. I paid $810 installed with tax.

On the 407, most of you know about the "whine" from the concrete. Yes, the whine is still there, but only if you actively listen to it. On the 401 and on every other road, there is absolutely NO road noise. I can't explain it...a car without road noise...it's eerie, and I love it!!

Yes, I really do like these tires. And if you want to meet me @ an AUDI meet, I'm sure you'll fall asleep within the first 3 minutes....

 

I have an S4 and I can't wait for the tires to wear out. They're BF Goodrich sport tires, but they're pretty noisy. Tire wear is great, but noise makes me mad. Will buy Michelin PS2s when these wear out.

 

Rock the PS2's...they're untouchable. Nothing comes close. Quiet, sticky, amazing in the rain. Went through 2 sets on my S4. Wish I could afford another set
