Re: April Snow
"Rain-snow mix" for Toronto, I wonder what'll actually happen tomorrow.
I'm glad I stayed with the winters for a little longer, I was tempted last weekend. |

Re: April Snow
I had summers on for a bit in the early winter and quattro worked fine in the snow but the brakes didnt abs would constantly turn on even at low speed braking got really annoying so i switched to michelin X-ice really good winter tires.

Re: April Snow
my general exclaim uhp performed well in the rain/snow today =)
but you still gotta be careful out there |
Re: April Snow
Fortunately I left my winters on because, as they say, it ALWAYS snows once or twice more before spring comes. We've got 15 cms of snow up here. :(

Re: April Snow
I mounted the summer rims & tires the third week of March!
Needless to say, I'll be happy when things are back on the plus side! The roads in KW weren't too bad. Other than one bad icy patch, I was fine yesterday morning. The ABS kicked in as soon as I tried to slow down & I went an extra 40 or 50 feet beyond what I wanted to. My snow tires were new this season, and the combination of them + Quattro made for some of the best winter driving experiences I've ever had. Cheers! |

The Exclaim UHP is General Tire's Ultra High Performance Summer tire that was developed for the drivers of sports cars, coupes and sedans. While meeting minimum tread design standards to be "M+S" branded, the Exclaim UHP is designed to provide high levels of traction, response and control in dry conditions, along with superior hydroplaning resistance in wet conditions. We do not suggest Exclaim UHP tires be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. The Exclaim UHP uses a 2nd generation, ultra high performance silica compound molded into a directional tread design that features wide, solid shoulder tread blocks and a high-tech contour to combine responsive handling with dry traction. Its Double-V directional tread pattern enhances wet performance. Together, the tread compound and design help sweep water away from between the tire’s contact patch and the road to improve wet grip while reducing the possibility of hydroplaning. The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wound jointless nylon on top of polyester body plies to combine responsive handling and cornering stability with high-speed durability. |
