Anybody have good luck with aftermarket extended warranty? I'm still quite a ways away but with the mileage I do...well - ahem. I'll be needing it shortly.

I know the dealer has these pamphlets, so I dug around and found out that they make close to $1000 per aftermarket warranty sale. Thanks, but no thanks.

I haven't ever had one myself but be careful where you get the aftermarket warranty from. A lot of places are apparently good at what they do, others are great when they're taking your cash but not so much when you make a claim.

Personally I wouldn't buy one unless I had plenty of recommendations on a company.

 

I just got the extended warranty from Pfaff Audi in Vaughan.
Cost $3800 tax in....for 7yr/160,000km (total milage) from purchase date.
I got the Elite package....it is worth it for me.
It covers some things that the original Audi warranty doesn't. Like ball joints and tie rod ends. It doesn't cover Key fobs though, The original warranty does.

Apparently the company that handles the Audi extended warranty is the same one that handles the original VW warranty. So I felt pretty safe.
