Exclamation Any Canadian RS4 owners driving U.S. car?

Hi All,

I've been trying to hunt down a 07-08 RS4 and as im sure you are all aware, these cars are very tough to come by here in Canada. I've started to turn my attention to picking one up from the US and bringing her in. I know that by going through the US I will have more choices, but I also believe I lose out on any Audi warranty....or do I?

Any Canadian RS4 owners out there that picked up a car from the U.S.? What was the experince like? Are you happy you did it? Did you save any $$ by picking it up from the states?

Thanks!

The B7 RS4 is a great car. Here is a link to another thread where this topic was discussed. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I picked one up from Cali in April from a private seller. Very pleased with the car and it took nothing to federalize it. Other than waiting for shipping, it was a seemless transaction.
Good luck!

Careful with the rules on warranty. They recently changed (or are now changing)...AFAIK the CPO warranty no longer transfers across the border.

That information is correct. Factory warranty is ok, CPO is NFG. Don't pay a premium for a CPO'd car.

my buddy's uncle picked up an RS4 from the states. The warranty was transferred 100% and the audi dealership has been treating him real good. The only thing i remember is that he had to get the bumpers changed to satisfy the CAN law. They did nt change the exterior only the inside of the bumper. Needless to say it was pricey.

He got the car 2 years ago, and paid today's price on it. I would definitively bring the car over.

Well...here she is folks! Picked her up on Saturday and enjoyed a nice 2hr cruise home. My photo taking skills aren't the greatest but you get the idea.

'07 Ibis White on Black RS4. Here are a couple of snaps....

Thanks!

Sadly, im about 4hrs away (Ottawa), otherwise I would be attending the next meet. Hopefully we can somehow bring the GTA/Ottawa crew together soon. "mikeh" was suggesting Kingston as a Central meeting point and because it also has some nice scenery and decent roads to cruise on.
