1997 A8 Tranny problem

hi, i have a 1997 A8 4.2L with tranny (DTE). I was wondering if anyone know a good place in around GTA that can rebuild this tranny. I tried looking for a used one, but this is the 3rd one that I have put in and apparently there isn't any other one available in Ontario. so help please. thanks.

Hi there, I have a 98 model, and I am wondering what your transmission is doing? Why do you keep replacing them?

I thought my problems was transmission but it turned out to be a sensor. THis car as something like 27 on board computers and one bad sensor can cause confused shifting, surging, and hard shifting! PLEASE check your sensors first! MAF, and TPS are the main causes.

Try talking with David Jeffrey at Auto Shop at 26 Haas Road
Rexdale, ON M9W 3A2. (416) 745-4524 He did my tranny twice. Once for reverse only and a year later, all forward gears went as well. There is a designb flaw in the 1998 - 2004 D2 tranny, yet Audi won't admit it. Mine now has either a modification or redesigned parts that are most different from OEM. No problems since last rebuild in Jan 2008.
