coil pack failure
 

tonight driving home... the A4 starts idling super rough

going further on home, with the MIL light blinking.. I show up at bert & jacks in calgary -> the boss there says coil pack failure with what I have described...

boss scanned.. says cyl 1 coil pack cailure.


ideas?

replace :) its pretty normal.

Check with Audi, you should be able to recoup costs on a new coil. I had one fail on Tuesday night, actually it still worked just not in high boost in gear 1,2,3. Anyways, swapped it and cleared the codes, now all is well.
