Talking Re: need help with speaker install

I don't know much about the A4 Audio Wires but I would suggest looking it up in a
D.I.Y. Manual or calling your local Stereo shop and ask to talk to the (HEAD) installer
(Somtimes their are many Installers in the shop and you need to talk to the Head/ Senior
Installer he/she should have a program / Books on Audi colour codes for the Audio system.

(I know they do I used to install for a Audio shop)

RE: Blowing a fuse! I have installed MANY stereo's in cars and I know that blowing a fuse
means that you probably grounded somthing out and not so much hooked the speakers up wrong. Make sure that you don't or have not pinched any wires as this alone may be the issue and not so much that it was hooked up incorrectly.
I used to see a lot cars come in with blown fuse's and the owner was not able to figure out why it was not working and why the Amp kept blowing fuses when he followed directions carfully and made sure everything was hooked up correctly which 99% the systems that came in were hooked up correctly but what almost everyone did not notice was when they were
hooking up the wires they either pinched the wire or when pulling new wires from the front of the car to the back the protective sheath was peeled back exposing bare wire that either
grounded out the positive to the negative or the positive to bare metal on the car.

I would start by making the phone calls first and getting the colour codes for the wires
than DOUBLE CHECKING it is hooked up correctly than trace back from the speaker to the head unit AND MAKE SURE that none of the wire is exposed except for where it is connects on either end. Hope this helps
