MP3s

I recently purchased a 2009 TT that has installed the "Audi Navigation System plus (RNS-E)." I have a few of questions:

Anybody know of a way to get the CD unit in the glove box to read and play MP3s?

The instruction manual lists 256 MB (!) as the biggest SD card that can be used in the MP3 reader. Could that please be a typo? If not, isn't that stupid? I wonder if anybody even makes 256 MB memory cards any more. Anybody had any success with a bigger card?

Thanks for your help.

Re: MP3s

I don't see how 256MB is correct as my '06 S4 reads 2GB SD cards.

You can use 4gb SD cards as long as they are not SDHC cards. You wont find these cards at retail stores anymore, i bought mine off eBay.

It seems the answer is that the card you can use (SD vs. SDHC) is dependent on the software and hardware levels of your radio.

Here is the entire thread;

Opps, just found out I can't post URLs until I have at least 5 posts, so try typing this in;
http:// forums dot audiworld dot com / showthread dot php?t=2727057
That will hopefully take you to the page.

If it doesn't, the name of the thread is "SD cared slot in Audio" and it's on the Audiworld forums site. Maybe try searching it in google??

If I recall it all gets summed up around page 11, however you might want to read the entire thing to determine how to get your software/firmware levels.
