Default Keep DVD running during motion?

Hello, I know there is a safety issue with this, but on longer trip it would be nice to keep the DVD running(even in motion) to entertain kids and wife with a movie on a trip. This makes for a much more pleasant trip..."Are we there yet????....Are we there yet???....

Is there a work around that can be done?

Anyone with a VAG-COM cable can make this happen in about two minutes.

I take it you have your MMI displaying video above 5km/hr?

Yes, and I have made the same modification to a friend's A5. There's no reason why the same instructions above shouldn't work for your S4 as well.

Sorry just seen you were the first rely post - obviously you've got it working - I was told the cable was $600+ and still required a bit of luck.
I would have paid you the $300....

Unfortunately you were misinformed. The cable is USD $350 directly from Ross-Tech. There is also no luck involved in getting the programming to work. Since the modification has been done before it's as easy as following some easy steps. Of course an official VAG-COM cable performs other diagnostic functions and allows you to make other changes to the car's programming to unlock other features as well: AudiEnthusiasts.com>VAG COM
