Analog AUX on 2G MMI?
Hello everyone,I've read that it's possible to add an analog AUX cable to the 2G MMI system. I followed these two sites.
https://www.instructables.com/Stereo...n-Audi-MMI-2G/ https://www.audiforum.us/threads/aux...g-system.12768 I performed the first step, which was to enable the secret green menu and use it to enable stereo in, which allowed me to add AUX as a source. I managed to enable it using my trusty VAG401 from xtool, so now I have AUX as a selectable source. Then it goes on to say I should make one change to the amplifier coding by adding 3 to the second last digit. Finally, add the aux cable to the amp by taping pins 24, 26, 29, and 31. When I select AUX, it says it's now active, but I don't get any sound. I'm wondering if anyone here might have the pinout for the amp harness so I can check and see if I'm tapping the right pins? It seems like it's the standard amp, not the BOSE or B&O systems (no markings or labels on any of the audio equipment in the car indicating otherwise, so I'm assuming its the standard amp). It's an aluminum brick with lots of cooling fins. I'm also wondering if there are any VAGCOM gurus who can verify if the coding of the amplifier is correct? I'm wondering if there's more to it than simply changing one of the values. I know I can get a MOST AUX box, but they're $100+ and this solution is only $15 worth of cable. Thank you in advance for all your help! |
