Exclamation Upgrades for the B5 S4

I've heard that Audi made a B5 RS4 in Europe. Does anyone know the differences between the North American B5 S4 and the Euro B5 RS4? Also, any suggestions on the most affordable upgrades for the B5 S4 would be appreciated.

Thanks

The B5 series has a few revisions, although generally speaking the North American models of the B5 and B5.5 are build in Germany (as opposed to mexico at the VW plant).

The Euro B5 RS4 will not have any restrictions on it, the north american version will be electronically limited to 220 KPH due to transit regulations in the United States and Canada (your not allowed to go faster than the police here).

Next to that there may be some minor structural issues as the impact requirements here are higher than europe (the NHSTA in the U.S. and Transport Canada here in Canada have STRICT requirements for Bumpers, Child Saftey and Daytime running lights).

Apart from that I doubht there are any other discernible differences, however IANAL, IANAT and IANAM! (I just own an 04 S4).

there's actually a huge list of differences between the B5 S4 and the B5 RS4. Most notably the turbos.

Go to the B5 S4/RS4 section at Audizine, and search this topic. You'll find dozens of threads on it.

The B5 is the most moddable car Audi has ever produced and many Stage III B5 drivers are hitting 500 hp/torque numbers, and pushing their cars into the 11 and even 10 second world.

As far as upgrades go, most bang for your buck is going to be chipping it, dont ask which one, as there are tons, do ur research to find exactly what ur looking for. there are ones u can change on the fly, other's that use the check engine light as an engaged indicator, but just chipping is huge gains.

Exhaust,

Darrin Intake

Ko4 turbo's if u happen to blow ur stock ones

Those are just skimming the surface.

I blew my turbo and replaced them with k04's and ceramic coated manifolds, extremly noticable difference, and mine isnt even chipped.
still running stock boost
