Transmission Interchangabilty HSM and HVM Question
 

I have a 06 S4 4.2L with 6sp Manual and my second gear syncros went. I was able to locate a low km used Trasmission for 2006 Audi S4 Manual with the code HVM I called Audi and they said mine is a HSM does anyone know if the HVM transmission will mount right up.

I know I can repalce the syncros in the Transmission and mine has 140 kms on it but I am getting the HVM with 80K on it for alot less than the cost of rebuilding so I want to see if it will fit.

I searched the HSM code for the transmission and it seems to come up under 2005 Audi S4 and the 2006 S4 have HVM so I am a little confused there as well
