Thanks for the update. When you get the new wheels and tires show them off here.

A very nice set of lightweight forged wheels with tires can be purchased for $4,200. Heck I'd sell you my almost new 19" OEM wheels and tires for half that !

wait...what? a write off for stolen wheels? That's like saying you're worried they'll demolish your house because you broke a floor tile. Relax...they'll get you a new set of wheels/tires.

lol...$4200 for Avus wheels with used tires? Awesome payout. Take the cash...buy some used Michelin PS2s for $600. Buy some used 17" B5 S4 Avus wheels for $400...then put the remaining $3000 into tune exhaust and intercooler. Now you're laughing at the thief. Better yet, work towards going K04.

If the flat bed the car the underbody damage would have written off the car. So its not like breaking a floor tile. LMAOF

I am an insurance adjuster. My specialty is liability claims, however, over the years I have handled many claims. We once had a late model Acura with the seats stolen only. The car was totaled for that item alone. The $4200 is the total claim, including tow, labour and repairs to the body mechanical check etc. The owner is responsible for his deductible and any wear and tear. In other words depreciation. If these were original equipment rims he is entitled to used rims. Tires would be prorated as well. If he has a receipt. For the tires the usurer would cover 100% less whatever they decide on for wear. Locks do work, however, a professional thief can steal anything. No doubt the thief was probably a young offender or crack head. Good luck with your insurer. If you have rental coverage rent yourself a car as well.
