Question re: B6 S4 Mufflers
 

Has anyone disconnected the vacuum lines to the mufflers/exhaust to see what sort of sound difference it makes by not having the internal valves rerouting the air flow makes?

A local exhaust company was looking under my car and said they wouldn't change what's there as it seems fairly well designed with the exception of the middle section of the exhaust where the tubing narrows off and enters a resonator?

I am going to try the vacuum line disconnect when off shift next week and if there's a noticeable difference, i'll try to get some audio for anyone who's interested.
