Big Boat?

Talked to my SA today and he indicated that my wife's S4 should be loading today. Production was started Nov. 24 and final inspection Dec. 8. Now, the question is will it really be loaded? Weather has played havoc in N. Europe the last few weeks, even screwing up legendary Teutonic efficiency. Are you on this boat too Esoteric-after missing one I gather?

Yep, I'm on the Marina Ace (at least that's what my SA was told) which left Germany this morning. I'm told that it should be in Halifax on December 30. I assume another week or so to get to Toronto, so I'm hoping for delivery sometime the week of January 10th.

Clyde, I'm not sure if you checked out Mike's link, but here's where the Marina Ace is right now...

that's hilarious that you can track the ship.

Looks to be right around the north of Scotland right now. Long way to go.

It's quite obsessive to track the boat - what I can say :D

The tracking is actually only useful fairly close to port. At some point, the ship becomes 'out of range', and it sits in the same spot for days, and the reappears near Halifax.

Interestingly enough, the last boat that I tracked (when I thought my car was on it) actually travelled between Britain and France, instead of going around. I hope they're not taking the scenic route.

Who am I kidding, I'm just hoping my car is actually on it this time!

next time you order one factory fresh, drive it from Ingolstadt or Neckarsulm to the docks on the Atlantic. Unforgettable experience.
