It is the S4. Theft is one thing but damage is another. The fact that the CAA tech got into my car within seconds and the OEM alarm ...... Well my dog barks louder.... concerns me over damage to the interior and of course theft of items.

Sounds like you've discovered, like many of us, that the OEM alarms in most cars leave a lot to be desired; even if they have immobilizers. That's why I spent $1600 on aftermarket high tech alarm. It even has radar proximity alarm. That is, if you walk by very close, like next to it in a parking lot or even pull into parking spot immediately beside, it squawks a warning, not a full alarm. If you stay close and make it squawk a 3rd time, a full alarm sounds, and it's loud. Has all the other bells and whistles. If I bought a brand new Audi today, tomorrow I'd go get a high tech alarm installed likely with GPS tracking as well. There are many good alarms out there but it takes time to pick the right one for yourself, your car and your exposures.
