2020 S7 - Not a good start
Hi Everyone!
My name is Ruben and I am an Audi owner from many years. I live in Toronto. I just got an 2020 S7 Daytona Grey and I want to share my last experience with Audi, that unfortunately is not been great.
I got my car 3 weeks ago, just few weeks later a 2020 Q7 from the same dealership downtown Toronto. Not to mention the purchase of 2 sets of winter tires and rims for the brand new cars.
Of course I loved the S7 first sight, great car, great engine and beautiful to drive. Unfortunately after 1 day of driving I noticed the front windshield was full of bubbles, so defective. I was told at the begging was only a problem with tinting, but as you know, the front windshield doesn’t get tinted.
As soon I was able to get some attention from the dealership, the car was already in the shop and new windshield was ordered. Of course I was not overexcited to have a massive replacement on a new 120K car, but I didn’t have any other options.
I was actually really surprised the dealership team didn’t really care to apologized for the inconvenience and the fact I was put in danger, driving with a defective windshield.Anyway the dealership received the replacement. The replacement was defective as well, so they finally get it right and get the repair done.
I begged the service manager to inspect properly the car this time, to be sure nothing was wrong.
The service manager deliver the car the next day, assuring was properly inspected and clean for me.
The next day I drive the car, happy to have finally my S7 ready to go. After 5 minutes of driving I realized the back windshield and few windows in the car have the same problems.
When I did contact the dealership again, really frustrated by the situation, they seemed really annoyed by me and just told me they will send someone to check at some point, but could be just a wrong tinting of the windows.
Still no one apologized and Audi Canada, after my complained, told me to contact the dealership because they don’t deal with sales problems.
My question is, how you would feel? I just bought one of my dream car, from a brand I always respected and now I have a car, 1 month old, to be taken apart. The PDI was not done properly in two occasions and no one seems to care. GM, sale manager, service manager, Audi Canada.
I still love Audi, and I can’t wait to have my S7 back in good condition, but I have to be honest, I was really disappointed to see how my issues was taken care of.
