Just bought one and coupled it on my 3" hfc/downpipe with a dual 2¼ Y. Sounds a bit deeper then stock and flow enought for a Stg II hpfp tune. You wont regret it, they go for around 300-350$.

Thought I had an exhaust lined up but turned out to be from a B8 S4. The more I think about it, the more this seems like the way to go!

What do tuning shops do with OEM exhausts when they install aftermarket ones? Would I have better luck contacting some local shops to see if they have any take-offs?

Usually the customer will leave with his stock. IMO call the salvage yards, I bought mine from a shop buying cars at the auction and rebuilding them, mine came from a "donor" car. Good luck!
