Here's my car

I picked it up this October for from Downtown Gas & Auto Service in Toronto... traded my Smart and some pocket change pretty much.

The body's great, mostly because the car spent 10 years in storage... just two little spots of bubbly paint and a crack on the front bumper cover. So far I've thrown a new stereo in it (came with a tape deck!) and had to replace a bunch of crummy old wiring (to fix my turn signal). Next thing to look at is how it handles funny on anything slippery.

For the most part it's a sweet ride. Great interior, powered everything, heated seats.

Nice ride. What is the matter with a tape deck. I just got a 2001 A6 Avant that had that and the CD player. I feel like a teenager again. Just with a much better car then what I had back then. :)

My son has the same car.

The problem with a tape deck is that tapes barely exist any more.

$200 got me a Kenwood installed that reads a USB drive.

Sweet ride - love it in red! I'm thinking about a Coupe or a C4 S4 for a Winter beater. That wood paneling is seeeeexy! :D

Does anyone know what that colour of red is called? I've got some paint chips to fix... they're primed right now to avoid rust, but I've got no idea what paint would match properly.

Re: Here's my car

you should be able to find a paint code on the door.

Re: Here's my car

I guess I should have said that the paint code label is too worn and faded to read :'(

I considered buying one of those 4 years ago. Took it to my mechanic to inspect it and it was in a dismall state (unlike yours, it had NOT been in storage for 10 years). It was leaking everywhere, etc. Body was in great shape though so I figured the guy thought he could get a good price for it and hope no one would notice the mechanical issues. Ended up going with a 1992 BMW 325i which I traded in 3 years later for the S4.

Still a great looking car today.
