It is almost sure that you have a failed coil on #3. They can be sourced
on line for $23 - $30 or dealer for a bit more. Just unplug the old one
and replace with the new one. You probably have 'L' series CPs. you can
check by looking ant the part number on the CP at the last character.
The 'L' series all seemed to fail. Either replace this one with the
current 'R' series CP and carry two spares in the trunk ro do yourself a
favor and replace all four now as the others will fail soon after the
first one.
Do NOT drive the car until you get this corrected even to go get the CP.
You will likely burn out your catalytic converter for $1,000 plus labor.

Re: vag 16687
well i had to take it to the audi dealer by my place and i told them all
about the code so they tried testing the spark plugs and also the coil and
it was still bad so after that they tested the powersurge? something like
that but anyway it ended up causing me 740.00 ouch...

Re: vag 16687
That is the reason why many of us on this NG recommend DIY or
independent Audi shops.
So, for your 740 did they fix it?
Can you see on the bill what they claim to have fixed? 'powersurge'
means nothing to us.

I have never heard of such a thing. Starting to sound like they took
advantage of you for nothing more than a failed coil pack and made up
something to get 750 from you.
