Re: Oxygen sensor problem
Hi!
I forgot to mention one thing earlier... When the engine is cold it idles at aprox. 1200 - 1300 RPM. After about two minutes it drops to about 860 RPM. Is this nomal or should it be idling at 860 right away? Thanks! |

Also you may have to make sure any grounds are clean and tight. I have seen some earlier VWs and Audis with bad grounds that stopped the 02 sensor from functioning. I am not sure but 5.100 V does not sound right, but are you checking this with the vehicle in motion? I am also not sure of your FI system either! 8^) IIRC In the USA, most 1996 vehicles have OBD-II with 2 Oxygen Sensors sensors. later, dave Reminder........
